Pilots vote on bank holiday strike

The British Airline Pilots’ Association (BALPA) today began balloting pilots for strike action in bmi baby, the ‘low frills’ division of major airline BMI. And it gave BMI seven days notice that it is planning to ballot pilots for strike action in BMI Mainline and BMI Regional, the other two divisions of the company.
The result of the bmibaby ballot will be known on August 16 and the union warned that any industrial action could hit many airports around the busy bank holiday weekend.
