Chancellor hits air and car travel

Air travel levy to double:
Air passenger duty will double to £10. Passenger duty for business class and long-haul travellers will double to £80.
Fuel rises by 1.25p a litre:
Petrol and diesel to rise by 1.25p a litre. No return of annual automatic rises. Consultations to commence on making biodiesel and biogas fuels cheaper.
