Flights to Tel Aviv from Heathrow Airport have been launched by bmi.
The route began operations last week and sees passengers able to take advantage of daily non-stop flights to the Israeli city.
According to the airline, the flights have been timed to coincide with certain connections from regional airports such as Manchester and Leeds-Bradford.
Nigel Turner, chief executive of bmi, said that Tel Aviv was a “key” flight destination for the carrier and remarked that booking levels had risen above expectations.
“Its addition further enhances our ever-growing network of destinations in an area of economic growth and development,” he commented.
