The latest jewel in the North East’s travel crown has to be the newly opened Newcastle International airport hotel The Double Tree by Hilton.
The Hilton Newcastle is a premier international branded hotel and welcome new edition to Newcastle Airport, which is the largest in the North East.
The Double Tree by Hilton was officially opened last month by many local business dignitaries including the Hon David Milliband MP.
The new airport hotel offers 179 luxurious rooms. Most of the rooms are spacious with a contemporary feel. The airport hotels windows are sound proofed, just as well as the airport terminal is only a couple of minutes walk away. The hotel rooms also boast a 37″ LCD tV in each room and wireless internet acces.
The hotels Columbas Bar and Restaurant are open daily. The restaurant specialises in Italian cuisine and opens from 6.30 am each day. There is also 24 hour room service available.
