Air Berlin and Lidl join to offer cheaper flights
German airline Air Berlin and supermarket Lidl have today announced plans to sell vouchers for flights witihin the UK and Europe for just £19. The offer will run from 5th to 12th September at all of Lidl's 390 stores accross the UK. Read more at:

August Bank Holiday Roadworks
Visit the Highways Agency website for full details of all roadworks across the country this weekend. 30 million vehicles are expected to take to the roads making it one of the busiest weekends of the year so it's well worth checking what you're up against before you set off. Bus controllers in west London will stop work when tens of thousands of revellers will be travelling to the Notting Hill carnival. Bank holiday baggage strike chaos for Stansted
More misery for travellers is looming as union chiefs ordered strikes at Stansted over the bank holiday weekend. Ryanair and Easyjet will be worst hit along with charter airlines. The strikes involve GMB union check-in staff and baggage handlers from 5am on Saturday 26th August until 8am on Sunday 27th August and from 5am on Monday 28th August until 8am on Tuesday 29th August. The train drivers union ASLEF have also ordered six 24 hour strikes on the Gatwick Express between Victoria and the airport. The first of these will be on Friday 25th August and the second on Tuesday 29th August.

Ryanair sale to help get Britain flying again
Ryanair, Britain’s largest passenger airline, this morning announced that it has released 1 million seats for sale on over 100 routes from the UK to Europe, for travel during August and September. These seats which are priced at £25 one way (including all taxes, fees and charges) can be bought just three days in advance of travel, at these lowest ever peak Summer fares. Ryanair is releasing these cheap seats to get Britain flying again, which is the best way to defeat terrorists and extremists.

Ryanair and British Airways are unhappy about the way the BAA (British Airports Authourity) which owns and runs Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted three of the UK's largest airports, is dealing with the security measures recently imposed due to the terrorist threats.
