Gatwick twilight check-in

Beat the check-in queues at Gatwick Airport South Terminal Virgin Atlantic.
Virgin Atlantic twilight check-in:
You can check in for your Virgin Atlantic flight the night before departure, from 12pm to 9pm to avoid the check-in queues.
Points to note:
ALL members of the party travelling should present themselves at the twilight check-in desk.
The Virgin twilight check-in desk is based at the South Terminal of London Gatwick airport.
Bring your tickets, passports and luggage.
You will be asked the standard security questions and you will need to leave a local contact telephone number where you will be staying over night - take your hotel telephone number with you.
If you need to check in an additional item of baggage on the day of departure, twilight check-in is not for you - you must join the regular check-in queues.
If you are collecting tickets on departure you cannot take advantage of the twilight check-in.
Once you have checked in at twilight check-in you have no need to return to the check-in area. On arrival at Gatwick the following day go straight through to the departure lounge, with your boarding cards.
Virgin Airlines advise you to be at the airport a minimum of 2 hours before departure and at the departure gate no later than 50 minutes prior to departure on the day you are flying.
Please note that twilight check-in for Virgin Airlines at Gatwick will NOT operate on Christmas Day. It will open as normal on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day and all over the New Year period.
There is no twilight facility at Heathrow.

Prestwick airport Meet and Greet

A new meet and greet service is available from Prestwick On-Airport Parking. No need for customers to wait for a transfer to and from the car park, a chauffeur will be on hand to pick them up from the airport and deliver the car on their return. All they need to do is call the company ten minutes before they arrive at the airport on their way out and after they clear customs on the way back. The distance from the airport to the car storage area is just one mile and all drivers are fully insured to drive customers cars.

Chancellor hits air and car travel

Air travel levy to double:
Air passenger duty will double to £10. Passenger duty for business class and long-haul travellers will double to £80.
Fuel rises by 1.25p a litre:
Petrol and diesel to rise by 1.25p a litre. No return of annual automatic rises. Consultations to commence on making biodiesel and biogas fuels cheaper.
