Mamma Mia No Fly Here – Italian General Strike 6th September 2011
| September 6, 2011 | Posted by admin under Travel News |
Italian workers are today protesting against cuts in Italy. Parking 4 less customers hoping to fly to Italy and parking at Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton, Stansted , Manchester should be aware that there will be severe transport delays throughout Italy. The strike will affect all transport in Italy including public transport to and from all Italian Airports including Rome, Pisa, Naples, Milan and Venice.
That’s good news if you have hired a car through hire4less as you will still be able to make your journeys but be mindful that if you need to return your hire car today, the strike could mean that when you return your car hire vehicle the car rental office will probably be closed.
Further strikes could happen in Germany, Italy and Greece. German Traffic controllers are contemplating strike action and Greek Taxi drivers are planning strike action in September
