Newcastle airport is just 7 miles to the north-east of Newcastle city and within easy reach of Durham, Darlington and Middlesbrough. It is easily accessible via the A1(M) from other major such as Leeds, York and Edinburgh. From the A1(M), use the A696 the airport is signposted from there.

Bus / Coach

There are regular bus services from Newcastle city centre, the Metro Centre in Gateshead and Blyth, to the airport. Full timetables can be found on the Nexus website. National Express also runs nationwide services into Newcastle.

Rail

Newcastle airport does not have its own train station, but is on the city's Metro line, just half an hour from the city centre. These services are frequent, and are the best way to get into Newcastle. From Newcastle there are services to other major UK cities including London King's Cross, Leeds, and Edinburgh.
